I think I have the same issue, though I am not sure... Both Blueman-applet and kde's bluedevil successfully pair the headset and the computer. They both initially connect (it is more difficult to do that the second any next time, untill you reboot). And ONCE I did get the bluetooth headset working, but I cannot replicate that (and that successful instance was with packages from pulseaudio-dev ppa, so lets forget it).
So, the bluetooth headset does not apper in kmix lists of devices.... I will be happy to provide any other input I am told to. For now please find the attached pulseaudio log and the following info: Bluetooth headset: Sony Ericsson HBH-610a OS: Kubuntu Maverick i386 $ uname -a Linux bala 2.6.35-22-generic #35-Ubuntu SMP Sat Oct 16 20:36:48 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux $ pulseaudio --version pulseaudio 0.9.21-63-gd3efa-dirty Some info about the bluetooth adapter: $ hciconfig hci0: Type: BR/EDR Bus: USB BD Address: 00:11:67:D6:35:60 ACL MTU: 1021:4 SCO MTU: 48:10 UP RUNNING PSCAN ISCAN RX bytes:4749 acl:81 sco:0 events:173 errors:0 TX bytes:2725 acl:96 sco:0 commands:48 errors:0 ** Attachment added: "output of pulseaudio produced following these instructions:https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/530264/+attachment/1739397/+files/pulseverbose.log ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Incomplete -- Can't find bluetooth headset in the sound devices list https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530264 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
