Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
Ubuntu 10.10 This is an intermittent problem (about 30% probability) after boot up. Around 5 minutes after starting Ubuntu, Network Manager starts dropping and then re-establishing the wifi connection. It will do this indefinitely at 2 minute intervals. The only solutions that I have found are to either: 1. reboot, with another 30% chance of the same thing happening again or 2. run sudo restart network-manager, which works 100% every time. I have Ubuntu 10.10 on two separate laptops and only this one (Packard Bell TJ71), from which I have registered this bug, is affected. Wired connection to router is not affected.
