I had a similar problem, i am running Kubuntu 10.10 and by following the recommendation on this thread I run this command (/usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1) under root user but i got this errors message
"sudo: /etc/sudoers.d/README is owned by uid 1000, should be 0 >>> /etc/sudoers: /etc/sudoers.d/README near line 21 <<< sudo: parse error in /etc/sudoers near line 21 sudo: no valid sudoers sources found, quitting" any idea of what i am doing wrongly.
