Public bug reported:

I just installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my Samsung R439 Laptop. The keyboard
works fine normally, but once I change the brightness by using the
Fn+Cursor key combo, then the keyboard stops working.

If I press Fn+Up or Fn+Down just once, then the brightness keeps
increasing or decreasing continuously and then nothing works. I am
unable to type anything using the keyboard. Nothing on the panel works
and the color changes upon hovering, but click action just doesnt work.

Basically other than moving around the mouse cursor and scrolling up and
down the currently open window, nothing else works. The only way out is
to press the power button and reboot the system. No other window or menu
opens up.

I can provide any logs or any extra details that you might want.

Thanks,
Prashanth
