Thank you Dave for your answer, I had a look into the BIOS settings but sadly there is no possibility to deactivate the ATA interface / device.
In any case, this does not really look like a bug then? Do you know of a kernel switch for the grub booting to deactivate the waiting time for the ATA device? It kinda destroys the showing off with the ubuntu operating system :) and of course I have to wait for 70 seconds without good reason...
