Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

`aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Left.wav` sounds great but `parole
/usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Left.wav` sounds trashy. I was good in
10.04, now every ding, every video, every talk I try to watch sounds
trashy. (like interference sound)

Using up-to-date Xubuntu 10.10
