Public bug reported:

i had working development environment using ubuntu 10.04. in fact i
didn't had to do anything to make it work, when i plugged phone in it
was recognized and usable

with ubuntu 10.10 (clean install +all available updates) it doesn't
this appears in dmesg log when i plug device into usb

[ 54.400809] usb 2-9: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3

i tried to set udev rules as described on
http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/device.html,
but it didn't helped (for 10.04 i didn't had such file and i was able to debug
anyway)

i tried to boot with acpi=off ,according to some reports it seems to be
magic switch for people who have usb problems, but it didn't helped me

also i found messages which recommended to do "sudo modprobe -r
ehci_hcd", unfortunately all i get is error message "FATAL: Module
ehci_hcd is builtin"
