Public bug reported: Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo proV 2040: feisty, 2.6.20-13-generic.
Whole system failure occured due to lack of disc space; kern.log, kern.log.0, syslog, syslog.0 (@ about 500MB each), messages & messages.0 (@ about 250MB each) accounted for the remaining space on the partition. Inserting the SD card (which is working fine in Edgy) produces the following in kern.log: Apr 4 21:24:05 localhost kernel: [ 1327.796000] tifm_7xx1: sd card detected in socket 3 Apr 4 21:24:05 localhost kernel: [ 1327.952000] mmcblk0: mmc3:1234 SD512 497152KiB Apr 4 21:24:05 localhost kernel: [ 1327.952000] mmcblk0: p1 Apr 4 21:24:06 localhost kernel: [ 1328.968000] tifm_sd: card failed to respond for a long period of time<6>tifm_7xx1: demand removing card from socket 3 Apr 4 21:24:06 localhost kernel: [ 1328.980000] mmcblk0: error 1 sending read/write command Apr 4 21:24:06 localhost kernel: [ 1328.980000] end_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk0, sector 994240 Apr 4 21:24:06 localhost kernel: [ 1328.980000] printk: 657 messages suppressed.
