Public bug reported: Hi,
I used the GTK interface of ndiswrapper to install the 64bits driver of the WG311v3 card from netgear (but the same goes with the command line). I used this tweak to install it: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=320111. The first time i invoke the driver, everything works fine. Ndiswrapper show "Hardware present: Yes" and i can fully use network-manager. However, when i reboot the computer, network-manager cannot detect a wifi device BUT ndiswrapper says that the hardware is present. I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 64bits, with ndisgtk 0.8.5-1 ** Affects: ndiswrapper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ndisgtk driver installation doesn't work after reboot, but show "Hardware present" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/666634 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
