Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

Version: Latest Feisty Beta, updated just before making sure its
reproducable to post this bug.

Environment: kubuntu-desktop under VMWare (So, no crazy compiz or
compositor or anything like that)

1. Add the System Guard applet to the KDE panel
2. Right click on the system guard settings (not the individual display
settings, but the settings for the applet itself) and add additional displays
--> The displays appear blank. This is fine. The problem is, there is nowhere
obvious to click to fill them back up with information. In fact, there doesn't
appear to be any way at all to fill them with data.

Any clicks you make on the blank panels appear to go through them to the
underlying KDE bar instead of allowing you to configure that display.

This problem is made worse if a user accidentally alters the original 2
panels (CPU and Mem or whatever) or reduces the number of panels,
causing them to blank out because it can never be restored.

Clicking on the border / all over the empty panel does nothing.
It remembers this blankness everytime you remove the applet and add it again,
so it appears it is forever unusable from that moment on.

** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
