I was able to work around this by installing the "Natty" kernel 2.6.36-020636-generic #201010210905. This appears to have eliminated the kslowdxxx problem and the audio hiccupping. [Off-topic: It has also broken the ndiswrapper wireless functionality, but resolved a problem where the normal b43 wireless would not stay connected for more than a minute or two, so I'll call that a net gain.]
Of course now I have a "broken" distribution, or at least one that will not update properly if I understand correctly. I haven't found any other problems yet. -- [ICH4 - Intel 82801DB-ICH4] Playback problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/658747 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
