@Fabio: The problem with Audio is that whenever I play any multimedia file, the sound comes from both the speakers and the headphones. Speakers won't mute on plugging in the headphones. But this was existing in LM9 and Ubuntu 10.10Netbook too. But works fine with Windows XP. So thought, the problem was with linux audio drivers. Also I wasn't sure how to report bugs to ALSA developers.
