Adding comments from the duplicate bug: This is an optional feature that is not present in all mail clients. Most users should be ok with (a) delete mail on server after receiving or (b) keep messages on server after receiving. This requested option treats the POP3 more like an indirect IMAP and may cause confusion through complication of the interface. Nevertheless confirming this feature is not available, marking as wishlist.
This should probably be marked "wishlist" as RFC 1939 (POP3) explicitly indicates retention/deletion policy implementations may vary from server to server and from client to client. See under "8. Scaling and Operational Considerations": http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1939.txt -- Feature request: Delete mail from pop-server after it is deleted form inbox/trash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/359563 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
