Binary package hint: gnome-backgrounds
After installing gnome-backgrounds on a fresh installation of Ubuntu
Maverick 10.10, opening up 'Appearance Preferences' changes the desktop
background and the background for the login screen to White Orchid. I
have seen this on all of the Ubuntu installations I have done, both
32-bit and 64-bit.
