i have 1 GB ram in my system. this slowness and problem are just since i ubuntu 10.10. i have first upgraded from 10.04 and i had experienced a lot of slowness of evolution than i did a clean install to handle that and put up 10.10 clean and newly. it is the same. from time to time it slows down and now it was that error with the link can not open. on previous slownessess i also filed a bug report but apport was not running so did not attach the needed data and since the problem did not repeat. please tell me what should i do. i can run a memory check, do you mean the one at boot - memtest? or any other check should i run. i am not so much deep into linux so please give me instructions what command should i run to get you the data you need. thanks for your time and help.
