I'm currently running Ubuntu 10.04. aplay -l lists: **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 0: VT1708B Analog [VT1708B Analog] Subdevices: 2/2 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Subdevice #1: subdevice #1 card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 1: VT1708B Digital [VT1708B Digital] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: NVIDIA HDMI [NVIDIA HDMI] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 However, when I go into system>preferences>sound>hardware tab My only surround options are Analog. "Digital Stereo Duplex (IEC958)" works fine (over SPDIF), I just have no Digital Surround Options to choose from. -- PulseAudio doesn't allow AC3 output through S/PDIF https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/520157 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
