I can second this behavior. I use an Asus G51JX laptop to run Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64 bit version.
I have downloaded Freeswitch 1.0.6 source and compiled it on my machine. Freeswitch listens on 5060. Ekiga has been installed from the repository and Ekiga's default listen port was changed from 5060 to 5070 using gconf-editor. Both are on the same machine and the ip address of the machine is 192.168.0.107. When I specify 127.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.107 while registering with FS, Ekiga fails to connect. I get the message Could not register (Loop detected). However in the same setup, if I change the ip address to the public ip of the machine, then Ekiga registers with FS just fine. I hope that helps or gives you an idea of where the problem is. -- Could not register with SIP server on same machine https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369050 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
