Public bug reported: Binary package hint: synaptic
Package: synaptic Version: 0.62.7 Doing a little testing related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/660171. At comment 4, it was asked to add "maverick" to sources. Due to my poor skills, I opened Synaptic Package Manager, Sources tab and added the string "deb http://maverick.canonical.com karmic". I believe the string is well formed but otherwise incorrect. On Reload, Synaptic Package Manager subsequently crashed. Attempting to launch Synaptic Package Manager also results in a crash. See attached.
