I'm somewhat new to using Ubuntu as my dedicated OS, so please excuse my
ignorance here:
My HP EliteBook 2730p has the Intel 5100 card installed, and this workaround is
keeping me from connecting to 802.11n networks. Does the issue that the
workaround sidesteps affect the 5100 in addition to the 5300? If not, is there
anyway to disable the workaround? Finally, if the 5100 and the 5300 share the
same issue, when the solution is released, how will it be distributed?

Thanks in advance,
Mike
