Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
when installing ubuntu 10.10 netbook edition on a clean install (wipe and use entire hard disk). The installer crashes towards the end of installation. After copying all the files it switches to "configuring apt" then "scanning CD rom - to allow applications to be installed from CD" at which point it throws an error "FAILURE -- no CD drive found". Immediately after, you get a warning dialogue saying the installer crashed. So the evidence points to an issue with the installer not being able to locate a CD drive, However this being a netbook it has no CD drive anyway. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ubuntu 10.10 netbook clean install crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/657872 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
