Unfortunately, you have not provided any real data on what might have
happened, so the only answer I can give you right now is "I have no
idea". I also have temporarily assigned the 'update-manager' as the
package (but I really do not know yet).
Please open a terminal and run 'sudo apport-collect 657636' -- you will
be asked to provide your password so that the command may be executed as
the superuser. This will collect basic update logs into this bug, and
help us try to figure it out.
