AMD 64 quad processor same problem USB thumb drives formatted to fat, vfat, ntfs, ext3. Various sizes 1gb - 16gb various manufacturers initial fast copy +320mb (or so it says) then slows to a crawl if it finishes at all. via command line and nautilus.
