Hi Bishwa, There was a "sudo" missing in some of the commands in the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules - I have updated that now, so if you tried installing via the command line: please retry, and also make sure any other package manager is open (e g synaptic or ubuntu-software-center) while installing or uninstalling.
