Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I am trying to install 10.10 RC on my work computer, and I need to use the
username: "s.rees".
When I get to the "Who are you?" form, and enter it in the "Pick a Username"
box, the 'Forward' button is greyed out.

Can this restriction be lifted, or is there a good reason for it? All my
work usernames are s.rees, so I need this one to match.

How to replicate:

1. Boot up 10.10 RC live CD/USB

2. Proceed through installer to "Who are you?" form

3. Fill out form, putting "s.rees" in username box

4. "Forward" button is greyed out.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
