Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz
(Note: the attached auto-generated information is with the "Blur" plugin OFF. See attached image for what my screen looks like with the "Blur" plugin enabled.) After upgrading (and reinstalling multiple times) to 10.10, whenever I enable the "Blur" plugin, my screen goes all weird and funky. I used "ubuntu-bug compiz" to generate my system and compiz info since I thought it would be easier then typing it out. I'm using the Radeon xorg driver (since FGLRX is having some pretty major problems currently), which could be why the "Blur" plugin doesn't work (works great with the FGLRX driver on Ubuntu 10.04). I'm not sure what else to put here, so if you would like me to add anything else, just say so and I'll post it ASAP. --Jacob "HACKhalo2" Litewski ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: compiz 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu9 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.33-generic 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, ccp, move, resize, place, decoration, dbus, text, mousepoll, png, commands, neg, regex, workarounds, svg, imgjpeg, vpswitch, session, gnomecompat, animation, resizeinfo, wall, snap, obs, expo, fade, ezoom, scale, staticswitcher, scaleaddon] Date: Mon Oct 4 13:11:30 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Beta amd64 (20100901.1) MachineType: Gateway NV52 Series PackageArchitecture: all PciDisplay: 01:05.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc RS780M/RS780MN [Radeon HD 3200 Graphics] [1002:9612] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35-22-generic root=UUID=146678cb-dd5d-4c67-9356-cf63b3df2a55 ro quiet splash ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash RelatedPackageVersions: xserver-xorg 1:7.5+6ubuntu3 libgl1-mesa-glx 7.9~git20100924-0ubuntu2 libdrm2 2.4.21-1ubuntu2 xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.12.0-1ubuntu5 xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.13.1-1ubuntu5 SourcePackage: compiz XorgConf: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/X11/xorg.conf' dmi.bios.date: 10/22/2009 dmi.bios.vendor: Phoenix Technologies LTD dmi.bios.version: V1.14 dmi.board.name: SJV50PU dmi.board.vendor: Gateway dmi.board.version: Rev dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: Parkard Bell dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnPhoenixTechnologiesLTD:bvrV1.14:bd10/22/2009:svnGateway:pnNV52Series:pvr0100:rvnGateway:rnSJV50PU:rvrRev:cvnParkardBell:ct10:cvrN/A: dmi.product.name: NV52 Series dmi.product.version: 0100 dmi.sys.vendor: Gateway glxinfo: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory system: distro = Ubuntu, architecture = x86_64, kernel = 2.6.35-22-generic ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug maverick -- Weird Output with the "blur" plugin enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/654693 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
