I did not close the bug, I simply marked the ubuntu-translations task as Invalid, as the issue is affecting the package. As it is a universe package, there is nothing we can do to fix the translations in language packs, so this is rather something that needs to be fixed in the package. We can leave the translations task open, but it will not make any difference. You are mentioning that translations are complete upstream, but you are not mentioning any versions. Looking at the following files on my system: $ dpkg -L musescore-common | grep locale/.*_it /usr/share/mscore-0.9/locale/qt_it.qm /usr/share/mscore-0.9/locale/mscore_it.qm Neither of them are complete (but very close to completion). These correspond to the 0.9.6.3+dfsg-0ubuntu1 version of the musescore-common package in Maverick. As the original reporter is mentioning Lucid, could someone please check the status of those translations in Lucid and compare it to the associated upstream tarball for the corresponding version? Also I'm not sure why the qt_* translation files are shipped. I'm assuming the translations are shipped with the qt package already?
