hi there, did a sha256 hash and burnt the disc on slowest speed i could... 3.5x
...did an integrity check on the disc...everything checked out ok....had
similar
problems with not loading with 9.10 but 10.04 has been fine. By the way i am a
general computer user , never even used a spread sheet but love Ubuntu so don't
ask me to do anything too complicated if you require further information. I
know
where the terminal is but don't know any commands. thanks

Subject: [Bug 653163] Re: 10.10 release candidate boots to ' try ubuntu without
installing'i click on that then it only takes you to the purple wallpaper
screen
with no icons or anything else then just stops like that.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. While we appreciate the difficulties you are facing, it
would appear that the CD image (ISO file) you downloaded could be
corrupt. There is an easy way to verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO
files you download. Could you please visit
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM follow the instructions
and report back as to whether or not the MD5SUM verified? Thanks in
advance.
