Public bug reported: Binary package hint: eclipse
As said, Eclipse (any version) looks damn ugly in Ubuntu (any version). Not only that, it also becomes unusable in laptops since it has so many empty spaces, leaving close to no space to the actual programming environment. Further description and some workarounds, probably not enough, are found here http://blog.xam.dk/?p=70 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: eclipse (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-25.44-generic 2.6.32.21+drm33.7 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-25-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Oct 1 14:53:38 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20100816.1) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: eclipse ** Affects: eclipse (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: eclipse java linux ubuntu -- Eclipse looks ugly in Linux https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/653010 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
