Hi, i had the exactly same problem descripted in this post. I resolved it by commenting this line in source.list:
deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian lucid non-free I'd a lot of 3rd party sources but only when i enable this one (virtualbox..) the apt can't resolve any host (exactly like described in the post)...
