Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

gnome-terminal 2.30.2-0ubuntu1 no longer retains the choice of window
geometry between invocations, defaulting to 80x24. The options for the
choice for columns and lines in the General pane in the Profiles menu is
also gone. However, the GConf keys /apps/gnome-
terminal/profiles/Default/default_size_columns and /apps/gnome-
terminal/profiles/Default/default_size_rows are still present. The last
known configuration that allowed setting the geometry (window size) was
2.29.6-0ubuntu5 .
