I subscribe what Amon_Re said; the same behaviour, and the same workaround. My system, though, is not SATA but a regular SCSI system, and I'm using md raid, not LVM. More, I've installed from beta CD. Server version, not alternate.
When booting, the mdadm complains that no configured device can be found.
