As for webfont deployment, I would like to see it on both Google's font
directory (more people will find it opportunistically, hosting is fast,
reliable, and someone else's problem.) and on font.ubuntu.com (no dependency on
Google because who knows when they might start doing evil!).
I can't see any particularly good reason not to do both, possibly browsers will
end up caching two copies of the font, one from each location? Not sure if
there is the intelligence in the browser to avoid that - but personally I am
not too bothered about it anyway, it isn't a vast amount of space and it
wouldn't be a user-visible thing. Just like caching multiple copies of jquery
and other javascript libraries really, that happens, nobody cares.
