I did do both of those steps. Pulse is complete shut off and then I run this
gdb pulseaudio 2>&1 | tee ~/gdb-pulseaudio.txt On backtrace it says that this "starts program under gdb control", but pulse doesn't actually start back up. It's still killed and I can't get sound at all.
