The notification about the "importance" change just reminded me of this bug. It seems to be solved since Ubuntu 9.04, at least on the few computers I use. It is not closed on gnome-bugs, where it seems inactive since July 2008. Somebody fixed something, maybe in the environment, which solved this problem. Should the status be changed to "Fix released" event if one does not know about the fix?
