Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity
It seems like the application launcher (to the left) always rasterizes the SVG icon of an application even if a 32 px PNG version of the same icon is available. This causes the icons to be a bit blurry. Two icons are attached to this bug report which demonstrate the rather obvious difference.
