Dear fellows, I am also suffering this problem, although in my case disabling the GSSAPIAuthentication seems to help (only tested once). I'm attaching the ssh -vvv log with the GSSAPIauthentication on. BTW: I use password authentication, instead of key/passphrase.
It might be interesting to note that, from my debian etch PC (also openssh v. 4.2p8), ssh login is quick. In this case, there are no GSSAPI related options in /etc/ssh/ssh_config (dist-upgraded from sarge). In case you want the ssh -vv log differences with GSSAPI authentication off, I'm attaching that in the next post. ** Attachment added: "ssh -vvv log (with GSSAPI)" http://librarian.launchpad.net/7099481/ssh-log.gz -- SSH with GSSAPIAuthentication option on SSH servers are very slow https://launchpad.net/bugs/84899 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
