Thanks for your report. The issue you are describing was most likely
caused by the fact that no VPN plugins were installed by default in
Ubuntu releases prior to Lucid Lynx. As you mention in comment 1 that
the issue is fixed in Lucid, I'm marking this as Fix Released.

For future reference you can manage the status of your own bugs by
clicking on the current status in the yellow line and then choosing a
