Csaba, please post additional information, such as the contents of /var/log/syslog as you bring up eth0.200 using ifup (with eth0.200 set in /etc/network/interfaces), or using ubuntu-bug to add all relevant info automatically for network-manager.
My take on this is that ifup takes down eth0 for a fraction of a second and sets it into a special mode (or brings it down altogether), but I haven't seen your logs. ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- Network Manager loose wired link when using 8021q (vlan manually) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/528343 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
