I can confirm part of this bug on my x40. I am only using a 1 gb SD
card. The Hardware Information program does not crash on me, but
neither does the SD Card auto mount like it did with Dapper.

I upgraded from Dapper through Edgy to Feisty last week.

Unlike Brian, when I fire up "Hardware Information", the SD card
controller only has a chain that looks like this:

R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter
  MMC/SD Host Adapter

Nothing below the Host Adapter line at all. This is with the card manually
mounted:

:~$ df /mnt
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mmcblk0p1 991696 681648 310048 69% /mnt

When mounting the card manually, I have to pass -t vfat to mount or it does not
work (errors out with
":~$ mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt
mount: you must specify the filesystem type").

Kernel is: 2.6.20-13-generic #2 SMP Sun Mar 25 00:21:25 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

Tail of dmesg:

[46232.848000] mmcblk0: mmc0:9ffc SD01G 992000KiB
[46232.848000] mmcblk0: p1
[46244.748000] cramfs: wrong magic
[46244.752000] VFS: Can't find ext3 filesystem on dev mmcblk0p1.

Thanks for all your work!
