Yes, the machine has hardware virtualisation. But actually I am not sure whether VirtualBox makes use of it. What does "use testdrive instead" mean? What does that mean "not using a software package provided by the official Ubuntu repositories" ? It is the official 10.10 beta netbook image. Nothing else.
