I have a Via powered Mini ITX computer with 1 gig ram, and the problem started with version 9.04 (bad, crashed 2/day) and still plagues me in 9.10 (1/week). Version 8.10 was stable (no crashes at all). I am not sure about the cause, can't see a pattern. It only happens in Firefox and Thunderbird. But I only really use this computer as an email box, with limited use of Firefox and Open office. I haven't upgraded to the latest Ubuntu because not ready to move everything yet.
