I was bit by this bug today: I'm out of office for a week, and yesterday
the network was down for several hours. Now my computer in the office
doesn't have an IP address, and won't take a new one even when my
colleague pulled the network cable and plugged it back in.

I'm the only one with a user account to my computer, so I guess power
cycling it is the only option. Unfortunately there are some calculations
running, and I don't know whether they are finished yet...

Running 10.04 with the latest updates.
