Public bug reported: On 9.10 Fn-F5 and Fn-F6 lower and raise the display brightness on my Sony Vaio VGN-CR120E, but this no longer works in 10.10 Beta (booted LiveCD). Not sure if it worked in previous Maverick kernels or in Lucid (too many things broken so I never upgraded from 9.10).
'sudo showkey -k' outputs keycode 470 for Fn-F5 and 471 for Fn-F6, but 'sudo showkey -s' doesn't output anything when the keys are pressed and the display brightness is not changed. I can change the display brightness from the slider on the 'Power Manager Preferences' application.
