Well, I'm going to set this bug to confirmed--hopefully the information I 
provided was enough.

I went back and re read the comments. I originally skimmed over your comment 
and thought you were saying that the problem was when you had the archives 
open. But now I get what you were saying. You might have a different bug, 
especially if it only happens with names with the wrong encoding.
(I also reread my comment, "Did you open the archives with the archive mounter 
and then unmount them, and then unmount them?" I must have been tired. I only 
meant unmounting them once :)
