Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
My apology if this is a duplicate report - timed out on my first attempt at reporting it. Have upgraded from Lucid 10.04 to Maverick 10.10 beta and now lost all the buttons ("close", "minimise", "maximise" etc) from all window frames. Any window frame I open is now always displayed full screen. Was previously working correctly in 10.04 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: xorg 1:7.5+6ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-19.28-generic 2.6.35.3 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-19-generic i686 Architecture: i386 DRM.card0.LVDS.1: status: connected enabled: enabled dpms: On modes: 1024x600 edid-base64: DRM.card0.VGA.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: Date: Sat Sep 4 22:05:28 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100429) MachineType: DIXONSXP DIXONSXP ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35-19-generic root=UUID=29a467ac-95f9-4d25-82a6-101a93695503 ro quiet splash ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xorg Symptom: display dmi.bios.date: 09/10/2008 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 1.02 dmi.board.name: DIXONSXP dmi.board.vendor: DIXONSXP dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: DIXONSXP dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr1.02:bd09/10/2008:svnDIXONSXP:pnDIXONSXP:pvr:rvnDIXONSXP:rnDIXONSXP:rvr:cvnDIXONSXP:ct10:cvr: dmi.product.name: DIXONSXP dmi.sys.vendor: DIXONSXP system: distro: Ubuntu codename: maverick architecture: i686 kernel: 2.6.35-19-generic ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 maverick ubuntu-une -- No buttons on window frames after upgrade from Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/630455 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
