Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

I have 2 nic's, eth0 and eth1. My modem is plugged on eth1 and my switch
on eth0. I have successfully set up an internet sharing server with
firewall, and etc. However, when using network manager to open the PPPOE
connection, it removes the ip address of the eth1 interface, and i can't
connect anymore to my modem's administration webpage.

Before upgrading to 10.04, i had a cron job to check for internet
connectivity and kill/reconnect using pon (pppoeconf). After upgrading i
decided to re-create all my internet sharing using only gui. (bad
mistake).

At any moment i can go back to using pppoeconf + cron to reconnect, but
i think this is worth fixing.

Hugs from Brazil.
