This problem does not occur in 10.04 which is what I have been using now.
Thanks for the follow up.

Is this problem present with the latest updated Karmic's or Lucid's packages?
Thanks in advance

Status in The Gnome-Print System: Invalid
Status in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Step 1: Boot ubuntu 9.10 (beta) or its netbook remix (beta) on a Lenovo S10e

Step 2: Upon booting up, right click on the wireless icon on the top
right hand side of the main screen

Step 3: The right click menu does not display any wireless networks
available.  There is no option on that menu to connect to any broadcast
or hidden networks.

It might be missing the wireless driver for the S10e both on the desktop
beta version or network remix beta version of 9.10.

Ubuntu 9.04 will connect wirelessly on the S10e.
