This indeed seems like a BIOS issue. In particular, if both keys send the same scan code, then there's not much we can do about it in the software stack, I'm afraid. Do you also get those kernel messages in the cases where it's not affected by the Windows 7 boot?
BTW, 0xe077 has got nothing to do with the e077 unicode character (hangul hanja); it's an arbitrary numbering of the keys in the keyboard, a so-called "scan code". ** Changed in: udev (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Volume Keys do not work anymore (Wrong keycode mapping of RAISE VOLUME and LOWER VOLUME) when interacting with driver crash of previously booted Windows7 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/543748 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
