Public bug reported: Initially just the headphone jack was not working (for all apps). Then i installed linuxant driver and optiplex (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/580338).
After installing those sound started working properly (both headphones and speaker) in all the browser related videos (i guess flash). But, totem and rhytmbox stopped playing any sound (both headphones and speaker).
