Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub2

I am using grub on an fully encrypted system. When grub is loading only
/boot is available. In the German translation the unicode characters
ä,ü,ö ß are displayed as ?.

On not encrypted systems the characters are in the right way. This I
also exact on an encrypted system. Whit grub 1 there was no any problem
like this.

Bug fixing idea:

By running an diff between the grub.cfg of both systems I found out
that, unicode.pf2 in /usr/share/grub/ could not load because of the
encryption. Maybe it is an idea to move this file to /boot/grub/…
